**IMPORTANT TRAINING VIDEO BELOW**Overview
Colorado Wing uses Everbridge as its alerting platform. This platform allows for important and urgent messages to be delivered to any active COWG member. Typically, these messages are delivered for the purposes of Emergency Services, but Everbridge allows messages to be for other purposes across the wing.
The COWG alerting system utilizes contact information (Cell Phone, Home Phone & Email) from the Civil Air Patrol eServices system. Colorado Wing members should ensure their individual contact information is accurate within eServices to guarantee the delivery of alerting system messages.
Contact Examples
- Mobile/SMS Text & Voice Messages : To ensure you receive Voice & SMS/Text-based notifications from Everbridge, please identify your mobile number as follows;
- Type = 'Cell Phone'
- Priority = 'Primary'
- Landline (Backup delivery) : To ensure you receive voice-based notifications from Everbridge to a landline, please identify your mobile number as follows;
- Type = 'Home Phone'
- Priority = 'Primary'
- Email : To ensure you receive Email-based notification from Everbridge, please identify your primary email used for CAP email as follows;
- Type = 'Email'
- Priority = 'Primary'
Message Delivery
Messages come from the following phone numbers and email address. The alerting teams suggest that you create a contact in your phone and email client to avoid these messages being flagged as Spam or Junk.
- SMS Text Number => 88911
- Voice Number => 719-556-2327
- Email Address => noreply@everbridge.net
Alert System Testing
To ensure proper functionality of the alerting system the Colorado Wing alerting team conducts regular tests throughout the year. Most test alerts are delivered on Sundays at approximately 2pm Mountain time.
The alerting team asks that members please read the message and follow the directions given in the alert message when responding to any alerts received.
Non-COWG Members
If you are a CAP member living in Colorado but are not part of Colorado Wing and would like to receive alert notifications from the Everbridge system, please complete the following request form.
