ANNOUNCING THE 2024 COWG WINTER ENCAMPMENT WHO: • Cadets with Curry or higher to attend as First Time Students • Cadets who have previously attended an Encampment to serve as Cadre • Seniors who can serve as Training or Staff Officers to work with cadets WHAT: Mission - The purpose of the cadet encampment is for cadets to develop leadership skills, investigate the aerospace sciences and related careers, commit to a habit of regular exercise, and solidify their moral character. WHERE: Colorado Army National Guard Regional Training Center, Fort Carson, Colorado WHEN: Encampment - 28 Dec 2024 - 3 Jan 2025 (mark your calendars!) • Staff Training - 26-27 Dec 2024 on-site, additional training TBD • Cadet Cadre Selection Activity to be announced at a later date. WHY: Encampment is a cadet’s key to many Civil Air Patrol opportunities from rising in leadership and grade in their squadrons to National Cadet Special Activities. HOW: • Watch for announcements for application windows for Cadet Cadre, Seniors, and Students • Applications will be available on eServices Registration Zone on each opening date. • Cadre applications will require additional paperwork. • Email questions to encampment.winter@cowg.cap.gov.
